Zailou

Since early childhood, art has served as the artist’s window to the world. Through creative work, whether with pen or brush, a personal visual language has developed as a means to understand and transform lived experience. The works extend beyond images or forms; they embody thoughts, emotions, and an inner landscape.
In the act of creation, time shifts. Each second becomes conscious, each hour weightless. This state allows a departure from everyday life and a deep immersion in the present moment. Each artwork functions not only as an expression of creativity, but also as a quiet timestamp: a fragment of the artist’s identity at the moment of its emergence.
Zailou is the artist’s chosen name, derived from a variation of a childhood nickname.
“Sai lou” [細佬], from Cantonese, translates to “little brother” or “kiddo.” This role remains an enduring part of the artist’s identity.
